Evaluation

Program : B.Pharm / UG:

The evaluations are integral part of assessing the learning ability of the learners. This is an effective tool to measure the student’s performance directly. These improve the student's overall personality, memory and their revision skills. Our Institute has a well established Examination Cell aiming at conduction of evaluations (both at college level as well as University level) in fair and systematic manner under the direction of the Affiliated University (MAKAUT, WB).

Monitoring of Evaluation Process:

The monitoring is under the supervision of a faculty member, who is duly aware and well verse of conducting the examinations. He/she should be able to build confidence in the students and other concerns that the examinations are conducted in fair and transparent manner.

Few such activities under the term of Continuous Assessments (CA) are as cited below:

The students are continuously monitored and evaluated in the process of learning in the semester system as per university guidelines. The main components of evaluation system are mentioned below.

1. Progression of student’s is continuously monitored and evaluated by conducting class tests, viva voce (in practical hours), assignments and seminars at different point of time of the ongoing semester.

2. Two internal tests (Slot Exam) are conducted in a particular semester. Apart from this, class attendance, assignments, tutorial, seminar presentation and viva are the parameters considered for the evaluation in internal assessment.

3. Experiments are conducted as prescribed in the university syllabus, in practical classes.

4. Writing of the practical records by the students, submission within cutoff date are monitored and evaluations are done within schedule.

5. Viva voce is conducted at the end of each experiment (in every day) is another important feature of evaluation.

Further, attendance, regularity and performance during lab experiment are given due credit in the evaluation. Therefore, the students are continuously engaged in the academic activity throughout the semester.
