BCDA College of Pharmacy & Technology, Campus -2 was established in 2014 under the encouragement and support of the promoter organization BCDA Members Benevolent Trust. Right now this college offers D.Pharm course from 2014 and B.Pharm Course from 2023. This college was established with the view of better access to the students looking for a good education in pharmacy and also for the carrier improvement of the members of BCDA.

This college was established with the view of better access to the students looking for a good education in pharmacy and also for the careerr improvement of the members of BCDA. BCDA College of Pharmacy & Technology Madhyamgram Campus is located near Madhyamgram to make it easily available for students residing in Kolkata and transport system of the state makes it easy to access for the students residing outside Kolkata also.The campus provides a huge space of 2 acres with greeneries in and around to offer an eco-friendly environment for studies with concentration.
BCDA College of Pharmacy & Technology is approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) for running B. Pharm & D.Pharm courses with significant output. This college provides an excellent group of faculty members for easy and effective learning aspects for the students. It offers large open grounds for entertainment and sports to comply students with the academic workloads and always tries to maintain a healthy and hearty environment for all the people associated with it.

Bachelor in Pharmacy
B.Pharm:
B.Pharm is a four-year course approved by the PHARMACY COUNCIL OF INDIA (PCI), New Delhi & Directorate of Medical Education, Swasthya Bhawan, Govt. of West Bengal, and affiliated with The West Bengal University of Health Sciences(WBUHS).Pharmacists are the multi services health care provider all over the globe. It is a well recognized fact that the course of B Pharm focuses on the study of the core area of health sciences like- Physiology, Patho-physiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical biotechnology, Pharmaceutical chemistry, drugs of natural resources like-Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, analysis of raw to finish products like-Pharmaceutical chemistry, Medicinal chemistry & Pharmaceutical analysis etc, keeping in mind the role played by them in Pharmaceutical Production Houses and R & D. The course trains students in the above mentioned aspects and makes them ready to take on various roles in the Pharmaceutical industry from production of raw materials to complete dosages form for the sufferer mankind. Possessing the knowledge of manufacturing medicines, pharmacy graduates may perform tasks such as dispensing right medicine to right patients, along with clinical research and working at pharmaceutical production houses etc. One of the main tasks of a Hospital / Community Pharmacist is to dispense medications to patients. Besides, those pharmacists are the key personnel in sales & marketing, clinical research, production, quality control & quality assurance as well. It is not far away that the role of clinical pharmacists in India will be recognized as in developed countries of the globe, there, pharmacists play a far greater role and command more respect from the society.
Duration of Course:
Course duration is 4 years. The 4 years’ duration is divided into 8 semesters, with each semester lasting for a period of 6 months. In each semester, students will have to face one theoretical and practical examination by the affiliating university (main exam). In some papers, there may not have any practical examinations.
